Moses: Deliverance

This morning I was most intrigued with our discussion about God activity in this portion of the story. God was very active and purposeful. Here are some important God-moments in chapter 4:

1. God wanted to be known as the One True God. He kicked the Egyptian-god's fannies with the 10 Plagues. He wants to be your One and Only God. Clear out the competitors.

2. God is much less concerned with my inabilities and lack of confidence than I am.

3. God was moving his people to the best possible place for them reflect the goodness of God (The Promised Land). The journey would be filled with trial, adventure and dependence. Is God moving you to a better place so you can reflect his image better?

God's blessings this week.

Week 4 | Joseph

The Joseph story is rich in with personal applications for us as men to grab a hold of. Joseph is man we can emulate. He is one of the heroes in the Story. Remember these traits we chatted about today.

Joseph was skilled in his work. He was good at what he set out to do.

Joseph was faithful to God in good times (management position), temptation (Potifer's wife situation), and bad times (10 years in prison).

Joseph forgave his brothers. They didn't deserve it. He still did it.

Joseph saw God's big picture. God made something good out of evil. God was fulfilling his promise to Abraham by getting Jacob and boys to Egypt.

Any questions? How is this story landing on your life?
